About Me

I began doing weddings because a nurse with whom I worked insisted that I was going to perform her wedding ceremony. Up to that point, I had said, "I will bury you, but don't ask me to marry you." (I did funerals...I know, it sounds crazy, but I did, and still do, enjoy doing funerals...it is my final gift to the family.) Divorced after 33 years of marriage, I thought I was a cynic. I "didn't believe" in "love," in "marriage," in "forever."

I did Rebecca's wedding, and then another, and another, and along the way, I discovered that I really wasn't the cynic that I thought that I was. In fact, I was a hopeless romantic! I DID believe in love, I DID believe in marriage, and I DID believe in forever!

I discovered that I loved to do wedding ceremonies. To see the love of a couple (especially if it was an "older" couple who thought that they would never find love again..."cynics" like myself!), to see the hope and optimism of young couples beginning their lives together...their stories yet to be written, the "cynic" became a believer...and found a passion for creating wedding ceremonies that celebrate Amazing Love!
